As of 11:25pm, 25th March, there are 51 confirmed cases, two discharged, one death,” it stated in its Twitter handle. The spread of the COVID-19 and possible contact with infected persons have made prominent Nigerians go into self-isolation. Those who have gone into self-isolation include the Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi; his Edo State counterpart, Godwin Obaseki; an industrialist and founder, Eleganza Group of companies, Chief Razaq Okoya; as well as a former Governor of Ogun State, Chief Olusegun Osoba. The Director General of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, Mr Asishana Okauru, has also gone into isolation. Osoba, Okoya, the Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun and his wife, Bamidele; a veteran musician, Ebenezer Obey-Fabiyi; a popular businesswoman, Bola Shagaya and other prominent Nigerians attended the 80th birthday of the Nigerian High Commissioner in the United Kingdom, Justice George Oguntade, on March 10, 2020. Osoba, in an interview with one of our correspondents, said it was true that two people, who attended the party, had died, but stated that unnecessary alarm was being raised. ——- #london #nigeria #covid19 #punchnewspapers

Smiles turned upside down in wonder as #Tiwasavage reveals she adds sugar to her #swallow

Screenshot_20200326-122827

I never would have pinned her to be someone with a weird food behaviour. Adding sugar to your swallow is hard to understand since the soup taste will over shadow the entire taste of swallow, and all other mammals and fish in the soup will be left to chew after the swallow is sent down.

My question will be : Will the sugar go down with the swallow and soup, or will it now be left to mix with the meat and fish pieces ? Or just maybe she chews her swallow.. That may be the reason for this.

The last two weeks I’ve stayed inside. When I returned from my trip around Central Europe I isolated myself (in a borrowed apartment away from my mother and sister) since the number of cases of COVID-19 (in Germany for instance) were similar to Italy in the beginning. Around ten days ago I started feeling some symptoms, exactly the same time as my father – who traveled with me from Brussels. I was feeling tired, had shivers, a sore throat and coughed. My dad experienced the same symptoms, but much more intense and with a fever. In Sweden you can not test yourself for COVID-19 unless you’re in need of emergent medical treatment. Everyone feeling ill are told to stay at home and isolate themselves. I have therefore not been tested for COVID-19, but it’s extremely likely that I’ve had it, given the combined symptoms and circumstances. Now I’ve basically recovered, but – AND THIS IS THE BOTTOM LINE: I almost didn’t feel ill. My last cold was much worse than this! Had it not been for someone else having the virus simultainously I might not even have suspected anything. Then I would just have thought I was feeling unusually tired with a bit of a cough. And this it what makes it so much more dangerous. Many (especially young people) might not notice any symptoms at all, or very mild symptoms. Then they don’t know they have the virus and can pass it on to people in risk groups. We who don’t belong to a risk group have an enormous responsibility, our actions can be the difference between life and death for many others. Please keep that in mind, follow the advice from experts and your local authorities and #StayAtHome to slow the spread of the virus. And remember to always take care of each other and help those in need. #COVID #flattenthecurve

A press conference held to publicly punch a hole in Trump’s #Chloroquine #Coronavirus treatment

Screenshot_20200318-204239

well even in the country down in Nigeria here, we are having these reports that the hospitals are now receiving chloroquine poisoning cases ever since the drug was announced to be the cure for Coronavirus. Now you can imagine what has happened in the US. The good thing with the US is that they have a better way of controlling the general public and how they gain access to drugs, unlike down here in the Nigeria, where everyone is allowed to purchase any drug they so desire.

Now they are under calling out the president for what he announced that could be a source of chaos for the listeners.

#Disturbing: Nigeria’s Chief of staff to the President #AbbaKyari tests positive to #Covid19

saharareporters-1585072833470

Seems we better put the president and his cabinet in our holy prayers in the days to come. If our assistant President, who is very different from Vice President, is positive, then the President might not be far from this too, even though he has for now been tested and found negative.

Seems this is not here for the poor, it headed straight for the leaders and their circle. Please pray for him at home. Dear God, please heal out land and the people who have so far been tested positive for in you lies our healing and you alone give it .

Disgraced Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein has tested positive for the novel coronavirus, US media reported Sunday. Weinstein, 68, is in prison in northern New York state after being sentenced to 23 years in jail for rape and sexual assault. The fallen film producer’s diagnosis was reported Sunday evening by celebrity news website TMZ and local paper the Niagara Gazette. Weinstein’s spokespeople have declined to comment to US media on the subject. The New York State Department of Corrections did not respond when contacted by AFP for confirmation of the reports. Sources told TMZ that Weinstein was one of two inmates to test positive at the high-security Wende Correctional Facility northwest of New York City and that he has had no contact with family or his lawyers since his diagnosis. Prior to his transfer, he stayed at Rikers Island prison and a Manhattan hospital, where he was treated for chest pains. Crowded US prisons have the potential to become hotbeds for coronavirus infections. Last week, guards at Rikers and New York’s Sing Sing prison tested positive for the virus, local media reported. As of Sunday, the virus has killed 417 people in the US out of more than 33,000 cases, according to a tracker managed by Johns Hopkins University. Weinstein was convicted in February of a criminal sexual act in the first degree and rape in the third degree, while being cleared of predatory sexual assault charges. He was convicted of raping ex-actress Jessica Mann in 2013 and of forcibly performing oral sex on former production assistant Mimi Haleyi in 2006. Nearly 90 women, including Angelina Jolie and Salma Hayek, have leveled sexual misconduct allegations against Weinstein, the Oscar-winning producer of “Shakespeare in Love” and numerous other critical and box office hits.
