Breaking: Davido’s father’s mansion suffers a terribke fire outbreak

davidoofficial-1563395756602

Since no more news have been received on his issue, and even  davido himself  is seen taking part in that aging face app that has turned instagram into a home for the elderlies, it is however imperative to note that a short video that was taken from the official home of GrandPa Adeleke , showed a home with a smoking roof, like that of a house engulfed in fire coming from the roof, sort of lacking abundant oxygen, but about to reveal itself and shine bright . We hope not much property was damaged,  and that no life was lost.

Games Hitches: Lamar Odom gets cut for the rest 2019 for health reasons

lamarodom-1563227414688

Reposted from @lamarodom

As most of you have heard, the @thebig3 decided to deactivate me for the remainder of the 2019 season. I respect @icecube & the other league executives, however, I am extremely disappointed with the way that this has been handled. Besides the embarrassment, it’s disappointing to read on IG that this decision had been made, especially without sharing it with myself or my manager. Only after I heard from the media, I was then told that the big boys cutting checks decided that they had to deactivate me with no real specific explanation. TMZ apparently did manage to get a clear answer from Ice Cube, “my health was their concern.” I have been 100% transparent about my condition before signing the contract, but at that point it wasn’t an issue. I was told after game #1 that I had been given extra time to get stronger. I have been working hard daily to get in better game shape. The willingness & intent has always been there to play. The Rhode Island game that is happening tomorrow was the game I have been looking forward to the most as many people know that this is where it all started for me. I am aware that at some point in life we have to accept & surrender to what God has planned or not planned for us — so I am staying positive. I worked very hard to make a comeback in my life & no rejection can stop me. Thank you @TheBig3. I would love for you all not to express any negativity towards the Big3 as I am proud & rooting hard for Ice Cube to build this league to the next level. He is the only black male owning a sports league in the USA, just let that one sink in for a moment. We must always think about the big picture, supporting our brothers & sisters. Let’s all be open to live with the concept of feedback because this can help us to improve. I hope that we can use this situation as a lesson to grow, heal and become better people. I salute all of you, thank you for the love & energy. S/O to Ed Brown for letting me wear his jersey for the Slam photoshoot.
Much love! -Lamar.

As human beings, we often don’t realize that we are unconsciously following in the footsteps of our parents. They have been our school of life until adulthood, and beyond. I feel that we are living in a world that for many of us is an emotionally unhealthy world filled with baggage from our past that we often never think about. A world of unconsciousness.
We think we live, but many of us we really don’t; we are on auto pilot. We are not even aware of this until conflict knocks down our doors. These moments or periods make us reflect back on ourselves. Who is really in control of my life? Me or my past? Have I become everything I hated? My beautiful escape from the pain of life has always been basketball. The first thing I did when I heard that my Mom passed away, was run to my childhood court in Lincoln park and escape there. Being deactivated from the Big 3 has made me realize that I can no longer depend on basketball to find emotional relief from the inevitable hurdles of life. I’ve made a decision to stop this time, reflect for real and not run away or escape – not into basketball or anything else.
A door has closed and I am going to stay conscious enough while I build my next door. Together with my daughter Destiny and the mother of my children, Liza Morales, I am going to use this opportunity to connect to my children and break the cycle of my past. All three of us have been through extreme difficulties, individually and as a family, that we have not spoken about. I decided to have my team reach out to MicDrop, founded by Rosh Lowe, to help the 3 of us reconnect and heal. My story is far from uncommon but I have been blessed with a platform and a 2nd chance at life. The environment that I grew up in, did little to foster authentic communication. I know that I can do better; for myself, for my children and for the world. We all owe it to ourselves, to our children and to our families to do the same. #breakthecycle #bereal #whyishare

Superstition: Nigerians declare war on Supereagle’s dark green Jersey after a devastating defeat by Algeria

ngsupereagles-1563213520724

Seems we will rather Blame our defeat on a liveless object than on the people who played.

Nigerians are showing a very good sign of spirit of sportmanship unlike before, when they will ter them apart by blaming the SuperEagles defeat on the choice of Jersey the Eagles had on while they were defeated. Unlike before when they will quickly and freely blame the players for incompetence.

Despite own goal, Nigerians will rather blame a helpless innocent jersey for a free and fair defeat on the players. The superstition of Africans will always be the one thing to maintain its originality till the end. Atleast they are not in denial.

The defeat by Algeria on SuperEagles yesterday has got to be the most peaceful defeat in the history of Nigerian football.  Nobody cried or felt miserable, they only blamed that beautiful green Jersey. 😆😅 I love the colour, and I love jerseys on players. Who would have thought it ok to blame the innocent jersey.

F1’s Lewis Hamilton preaches body positivity by putting his very own edible arrangement on display 😉

lewishamilton-1563109235921

from @lewishamilton

Posting this because this is me, unfiltered and basic. In today’s society, everyone is using so many apps and filters to make themselves look perfect and I think we need to start encouraging ourselves and others to love themselves just the way they are. It is our imperfections that make us special and unique. Like many, I too have insecurities and for whatever reason have questioned the way I look because of the pressures in society and Ive come to realise that, I am who I am and I’m not changing for nobody. So here’s me trying to be vulnerable and letting you know that it’s ok to feel vulnerable and I implore you to learn to love yourself for who you are because you really are special.
Lastly, wasn’t the best weekend for me but over the years I’ve learnt to notice the lessons that come from difficult days. I made two mistakes this weekend which for me is rare but we’re costly. Accepting and Acknowledging are key to the learning process and swiftly move on! Tomorrow’s a new day, back to training and get myself right for the British Grand Prix!
Hope you all had an amazing weekend. God Bless🙏🏾 #teamlh #love

AFCON semi-final: Eagles fight hard for the cup

punchnewspapers-1563105884563

Nigeria and Algeria will clash for the 21st time at senior men’s level on Sunday (today) night in an AFCON 2019 semi-final encounter that promises lots of fireworks at the Cairo International Stadium.

The winners proceed to the final, also billed for the Cairo International Stadium on July 19, against the winners of the first semi-final between Senegal and Tunisia. Both sides clash at the 30 June Stadium in Cairo.
Three-time champions Nigeria are looking for their fourth title since winning their first on home soil at the expense of Algeria in 1980, while the Algerians are looking for their second gong since their only title won on home soil at the expense of Nigeria in 1990.

Previous encounters between the Super Eagles and the Desert Foxes have always provided tremendous sparks, and the nature and balance of the rivalry is reflected in the record, which shows that Nigeria has won eight of the previous encounters while Algeria had won seven, with five drawn.

Venus Williams defeated by 15 year old Cori Gauff

guardiannigeria-1562104098139

Is it safe to say that Miss Williams was defeated by a younger version of herself. She most likely was the role model of this young lady at one point in time.

from @guardiannigeria – Venus Williams congratulates Cori Gauff after the latter won their women’s singles first round match on the first day of the 2019 Wimbledon Championships at The All England Lawn Tennis Club in Wimbledon, southwest London, on July 1, 2019.

Gauff, at 15 the youngest ever qualifier for Wimbledon, is not content with just beating five-time champion Williams — now she wants to win the title.

The teenage American, who was not even born when Williams won her first two Wimbledon singles titles, showed not an ounce of fear on Court One, making light of the 24 years age difference and her ranking of 313 as she eased to a 6-4, 6-4 victory.

Gauff made no bones about her ambitions at the tournament. “My goal is to win it,” she said. “I said this before: I want to be the greatest.

Cast of the new lion King, begin teasing fans with a collage of the stars behind each Character

beyonce-1562081269762

Gather here beyonce fans, and queue up behind the Lion King fans. The idea of the real voices behind each character staring their animal self in the face is so iconic. But first,  Should we start saying “Nala” already, or just go with the simple “Beyonce”? This is what fans can’t decide, since they were placed in awe of the teasing coming straight from the stable of the one and only Beyonce, who played the role of Nala in the Forth coming #Lionkingyhemovie

Playing the role of Nala in the much anticipated Lion King Movie that has not  yet to be released.

The mother of three seems to  be as excited as her fans on theach issue, despite always playing it down looked everything else.

Beyonce is not one to talk much on issues no matter the type, and because of the level of expectation fans have for this movie, she is sure doing a good tease job as she begins reminding fans of the proximity of the release date.

Now I know we are always anticipating, but it is even more intense now. With that being said, take a good look at the adorable fierceness depicted by these lion king characters. Did anyone disappoint you? I remember reading about this in 2017, and now it is already here. So iconic.

Nigerians Divide over the rape allegation levelled against COZA’s Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo by Busola Dakolo

punchnewspapers-1561887287023

Busola Dakolo, photographer and wife of popular artiste, Timi Dakolo, has revealed how she survived a rape ordeal by Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo, the founder of The Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA).

Speaking during an exclusive Y! TV interview with Chude Jideonwo, the founder of Joy Inc., Busola explained that while a member of the church, she was raped by the pastor when she was still under the age of 18. .

The interview comes after Timi Dakolo called out the Abuja-based pastor over his alleged sexual relationship with female church members, even as he encouraged other victims who have gone through the experience to speak up. .

Reposted from @symplysimi – 😡 Furious. See how shaken she is reliving it. I pray sharing this truth relieves you of this burden @busoladakolo

To this man’s supporters – serve God, but don’t follow any man blindly. Ask questions! If it feels wrong, don’t ignore it. If u see something, talk!

#iStandWithBusola

Edit PS: Big props to Timi. From the stories I hear, a lot of people that have been raped find it harder to tell their story because the people that matter don’t believe them or question their role in it. So God bless you for giving her someone to lean on. Helping her to find the courage. For fighting for her, God bless you ❤️ – #obyorijiblog – #regrann

from @akahnnani – I woke up to several missed calls, and text messages. My friends know my relationship with @cozaglobal.
Let me say this. COZA is my church. I love my pastor… But rape, is a serious issue. My stomach churns as I write this. I spoke with @timidakolo a week ago and tried to understand why he had taken a stance against my pastor. I had just come back from honeymoon when all my friends sent me his attacks to my pastor a few weeks ago.
I sought to understand, not to attack. I was under so much turmoil too because this is my church, my pastor, and I cannot go around like nothing is happening and the church isn’t addressing anything or re-assuring the members.

We must not see evil and cover it. We must not see evil and turn the other way. You all know me. I attack and speak out against corrupt political leaders everytime. Well, this has hit home. Our leaders and our fathers must be held accountable. And they must deem us worthy to be answerable to. If we cannot clean in the church, forget it. We cannot clean the country. I am tired of hearing so much, so much rubbish about my church and leadership over the years especially cos of the industry I belong to, nothing passes our ears behind the scene.

My pastor @biodunfatoyinbo has to say something this time. If the rest of the church does not need it, I need it. For my sake, sir… Speak on this.
I stand with @busoladakolo as she has spoken her truth. I stand with the body of christ also. I ask that my pastor come out and speak his own truth.

I am praying for the church. Please let us pray for both the Dakolo and the Fatoyinbo families. (wife and kids). In the end, if we need to, let us scatter the place… Then the truth will stand up. 💔 – #obyorijiblog

from @renoomokri – For The Body of Christ, Not For Pastor Fatoyinbo
I have NEVER liked Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo of COZA for reasons that I will not say publicly. However, I am mature enough to divorce my emotions and be led by logic. And I counsel those now condemning him to do the same.
The average Black African is easily moved to hysteria by excitable emotions. This is why it is RIDICULOUSLY easy to manipulate Africans with the media Satan does his best work with such people, who can’t suppress emotion in preference to logic.
Think. Dont emote. A pastor comes to your house early in the morning. He does not know who will open when he knocks, or who is at home. He knocks and immediately you open he pushed you to a chair and raped you in your pyjamas. Do people think?
Even the most USELESS movie director wont accept such a plot in a B rated Hollywood/Nollywood/Bollywood movie. A movie has to have PLAUSIBILITY. I dont like pastor Fatoyinbo, but I won’t suspend my intellect because of my dislike of the fellow.
After he allegedly raped her, she kept quiet for enough time for him to go to his car and get a soda drink for her? It does not ADD UP. My dislike for Biofun Fatoyinbo won’t make me become a SLANDERER by default. This story rings very FALSE.
I am an advocate of morality. For years, I publicly preach against premarital and extramarital sex. I pastored a congregation in Abuja for years. I will NEVER, EVER, support RAPE. But satan is going about like a roaring lion seeking whom to consume!
Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo is SLEEK. Too sleek for my liking. What type of sleek man will rape an underaged girl in HER PARENTS HOUSE. While HER SIBLINGS are AT HOME. And then leave her to go get a drink from his car. Is this mass HYPNOSIS.
Do we Black African of the Nigerian variety think at all? Do we only exist in the soulish realm? I have a Masters in Law from England. The story CANNOT stand up in court. The story CANNOT stand up in the light of cross examination.
I give you my word that if you gave satan 10 minutes to manipulate the minds of Nigerians, he will get a sizeable number of Nigerians to believe that Jesus is evil and he satan is good. We are too gullible, excitable – #obyorijiblog

from @officiallolo1 – I would forever stand in awe of your courage,I pray this goes beyond a hashtag @busoladakolo may your truth liberate many Our world needs you lord – #obyorijiblog

from @adesuaetomi – Survivor. Not a victim. You have spoken your truth even when you knew it could cost you everything.
Clearly, we still need to have active conversations about rape because a lot of people CLEARLY still don’t get it.
Busola, we are proud of you. “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”
You have done something.
Ps I have turned my comments off because I am not looking for people to validate or invalidate my stance. Regardless of either, It is my stance.

from @ceec_official – Every human has a right to tell their story. I will not stand around and watch anyone try to silence a woman for speaking their truth. We live in a society where women suffer abuse daily and are too afraid to speak, for fear of condemnation. Any woman finding the courage to speak is nothing short of bravery in my eyes and nobody has a right to try to silence or discredit them.
I understand my stance may bring about certain consequences but it is important to me to make it known that I don’t support shaming or discrediting a woman for her truth . – #obyorijiblog

.

I’ve been meaning to write this since morning, but I literally have been too upset to do it. .

I Salute your bravery @busoladakolo, in a country where victim shaming is the norm, speaking out is truly one of the most difficult things to do, it is literally a life changing event. I applaud you Busola and I stand with you.
I’m sorry this happened to you. I pray, you finally being able to speak your truth accelerates your healing, or at the very least, makes easier your ability to cope. . .

For every rape victim out there that has been unable to speak their truth for whatever the reason might be and perhaps you walk around with a smile on your face but you’re truly dying inside, I’m so sorry
I stand with you too.
Self care is ok, it’s ok to do what you think you need to do to survive your trauma.
I’m sorry for everything you’ve been through and probably are still going through and I pray that one day your rapist gets what they deserve.
.
.
For victims who are torn between speaking out or not, If you’re able, (ITS ok if you’re not) but if you’re able, please SPEAK YOUR TRUTH! And name your abuser… your abuser depends on your silence, if you can, speak up! You might be saving someone else and it increases the chances of him getting some kind of justice.

I pray all rape victims are able to get to a point when they are completely free of pain from their trauma . .
.

And just FYI: .
.
. “Why didn’t she scream” – BLOCKED! .
.
“Was he a pastor then?” – BLOCKED! .
.
“Why was she wearing a nightie” – BLOCKED! . . . (I will block and report you for this one because you must be extremely obtuse to ask this) . . . .. . “Why is she talking now “- BLOCKED . . . . “Does she have any evidence” – BLOCKED (you’re right, she should have told him, “please pause, let me quickly grab my camera so I can record this and have some evidence against you later ” ode! . . . .
. “Touch not my anointed “ – BLOCKED! (Your block will be especially satisfying because you are especially daft) . .
. “She is an attention-seeker” – BLOCKED! .
. .
“It is not the pastor’s fault its the Devil’s “- BLOCKED!… and so on .

from @ikosakioduwa – @busoladakolo you are not a victim and not only a survivor but a hero too. Telling your story could not have been easy. Thank you for being brave and speaking for the many that can’t. We all have to do better to support women and children that have been raped and abused. Please don’t be part of the people that make it hard to speak up. It is an extremely traumatising experience and survivors must always be handled delicately.
For anyone who may recently have been through a similar horror please know that NOTHING you could have done or said justifies it. IT IS NOT YOUR FAULT! Please find help. There is a center called The Mirabel Center and they help you through situations like these. They can be found on the premises of The Lagos State University Teaching Hospital. They help with medical treatment, Counselling and legal redress. Please speak up to your loved ones as well. @mirabelcentreng – #obyorijiblog

from @mofedamijo – Two sides to a story does NOT invalidate the truth of the abused, the molested, the hurting. Do NOT be quick to rebut someone’s pain. Do NOT speak too hastily for someone who can speak for themselves. Do NOT expect a rape story to make sense to you because when a predator strikes, the circumstances are not his first thoughts. Busola Dakolo, popular photographer and wife of musician Timi Dakolo has accused #BiodunFatoyinbo, Pastor Commonwealth of Zion (COZA) of raping her as a young virgin girl.

The allegation is coming weeks after her husband #TimiDakolo in a series of posts on Instagram called out the Abuja based pastor for serially molesting women in the church.

from @georginaonuoha – Woke up to this and my heart sunk reading some of the commentaries by ignorant Nigerians. As developed as the United States is, rape victims still struggle to speak up knowing the backlash they will face and wondering if anyone will believe them or not.
For the miscreants questioning the timing of her story, I hope you understand the gravity of trauma most rape victims go through.
Dear Nigerians and Christians, stop believing in your pastors, priests, and spiritual leaders. Take their preachings and evaluate their morals. Remember pastors are men and will always prey on the helpless, naive and vulnerable. Don’t trust no man or spiritual leader as a supreme being. They are human and hence fallible. Being a man of God doesn’t mean they will not do their best to take advantage of you sexually, emotionally, financially and otherwise.
As a Catholic, I have witnessed first hand how those you love will cross boundaries to a point of wanting to sexually assault you. Yes, as a young woman who acquired fame at a young age, these phonies will want to take advantage of you all in the name of wanting to guide you spiritually. At age 22, a priest almost raped me unfortunately for him, I might have appeared naive and soften spoken boy was I raised Army strong with a warrior spirit. I told him not today and not never.
I moved past that but not every woman has same fighting spirit. Some are damaged for life while others take a different path to self destruction because they can’t cope with the trauma they experience.
Don’t be quick to condemn a woman telling her painful story of rape and defend a Pastor you know nothing about. That they stand on that pulpit does not mean they are holy. Many have the grace to minister but the flesh thrives on the power and authority they hold. Trust no pastor or priest with your wives, daughters and loved ones. Go to church listen to the gospel and go home and live according to Christ teachings. Stop worshipping your pastors. Stop venerating your priest. Love them from afar and pray for them.
Lots of wolves in sheep clothings.
Spiritual leaders are suppose to give guidance and moral support to their community but most have become predators. – #obyorijiblog

Reposted from @therealnazo – If I hear say I no talk for this matter!

I remember vividly when we gave our lives to christ and dedicated everything to God, sang in choir, went for workers meeting, foundation school e.t.c
At that point in our lives we sat under the teaching and counsel of “Pastor” about 4 to 5 times a week, at some point these pastors started to look like God in our eyes. we considered them spotless and called them FATHER.

So YES! it’s possible to not fight such men when they attempt to rape and abuse you…. it’s also possible to try to forgive them because of God and move on like nothing happened but most importantly, “THE FEAR OF JUDGEMENT” cripples women from speaking up! We must get rid of the religious immunity we have granted to them and speak the truth about these so called pastors and religious leaders… they are scaring our women/men/ children and getting away with it.

THANK YOU @busoladakolo for being so strong!

YOU ARE A TRUE QUEEN! ❤❤

Reposted from @goldmynetv – Busola Dakolo’s Rape Story Is False – Omokri

Reno Omokri, a former presidential aide to Goodluck Jonathan, has faulted the rape allegations by Timi Dakolo’s wife, Busola, against the founder of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly, COZA, Biodun Fatoyinbo.

GoldmyneTV had reported Busola Dakolo as accusing the pastor of rape.

Busola, a mother of 3, explained how Pastor Fatoyinbo allegedly forced his way into her when she was a teenager.

Omokri, while reacting, said Dakolo’s narration of how she was raped is not plausible, adding that Pastor Fatoyinbo is too ‘sleek to rape an underage girl’. According to him, though he does not like the COZA Pastor, the story does not add up and ‘rings false’. Omokri wrote: “I have never liked Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo of Coza global for reasons that I will not say publicly. However, I am mature enough to divorce my emotions and be led by logic. Reposted from @akahnnani – This issue has been addressed by the senior pastor. Pastor has said he never raped anyone in his life. Good! Praise God. Now what next?
Dear @biodunfatoyinbo The next thing to do sir, is to step down from the position of senior pastor. But I know you know this sir and the church is in fact already making arrangements for this because anything contrary to this would be unconscionable, corrupt and anarchical.
In proper states, governments, working systems, businesses and organisations even in the circular domain, the leader in question will step down first. INNOCENT OR NOT.

The only thing I want to hear on Sunday is pastor announcing to the church that he is stepping down and not a single word more to sway the emotions of the congregation or encourage them to defend on social media or even any sermon from him. Someone else can take the word. TILL THIS WHOLE THING CLEARS AND WE CAN SEE ROAD!! But hey, Like I said, I know they will do the right thing.
Now, ‘Should in case’ He doesn’t step down, or he preaches a sermon, or just maybe the church organisation does not know the right thing to do, then I am calling on all well meaning human beings, all well meaning Christians, truly called Pastors, to raise their voice on all social media platforms with this hashtag, #PastorStepDown and demand for the right procedure to be followed till the whole matter is resolved. On all social media platforms.

I humbly implore ALL @cozaglobal members to watch the entire 4 parts of @busoladakolo account with a pure and human heart. Watch with the intention to listen. See the woman speaking. SEE HER.

May we all operate in wisdom and love. Madness is not Nigeria’s surname. May Nigerians be free from slavery. The truth will stand up.

By the way we need CAN and PFN to step into this matter. I believe these associations are regulatory bodies of Christian churches too. Please bring the table out in the open.

Reposted from @punchnewspapers – COZA pastor, Fatoyinbo, denies rape allegation, threatens to sue

The pastor of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly, Biodun Fatoyinbo, on Friday denied rape allegation made against him by Busola Dakolo, wife of musician, Timi Dakolo, and threatened to sue his accusers.

Following the allegation by Busola in an interview granted to Ynaija that she was raped by the popular pastor while she was a teenager; Fatoyinbo released a statement on his official Instagram page to debunk the allegations levelled against him, saying several statements had been made to extort the church through blackmail, harassment and intimidation.

The statement read in part, “I am aware that there has been a recent media publication on YouTube by YNaija operated and owned by RED Media Group, which shows an interview by Chude Jideonwo with Busola Dakolo. Prior to now, we had adhered to our policy of ignoring rumours from social media accounts as we knew that several statements had been made to extort the church of money and myself through blackmail, harassment and intimidation. We have refused time and again to accede to their request, which has infuriated them overtime; because of this, they have got more aggressive. “Unlike previous statements where innuendos were used and there was no direct mention of myself or the church, the recent video released on YouTube has now made direct criminal allegations against me in the interview granted by Busola Dakolo, which are fallacious, non-existent and which are all denied in every measure.

[SWIPE 👉🏽]Yes I said it & I so mean it. PS Let me give you guys a gist: sometime last year, one African pastor was trying to offer me money to spend a night with him. Straight up. Directly like that. Before I came back to my senses and expressed my disbelief , man blocked me ( it was on IG and his profile was verified)….and to think its the same person some poor man is giving his last money to hoping to tap into his “blessings” faster and enduring hunger thinking God will be pleased with his gesture… SMH!!!! The Power that is headed to these people is ENORMOUS because society finds it VERY INAPPROPRIATE, UNACCEPTABLE AND EVIL to question their ways because they are “people of God”!!! Imagine, JUST IMAGINE, if EVERYONE FELT FREE to speak their truths how many UNBELIEVABLE & SCARY stories we would hear by now! This BRAINWASHING needs to stop!
