Volunteers in Mauritius are scrambling to create improvised cordons to try and contain leaking oil from a ship. The MV Wakashio, believed to have been carrying 4,000 tonnes of fuel oil, ran aground on a coral reef off the island on 25 July. Locals are making absorbent barriers of straw stuffed into fabric sacks in an attempt to control and absorb the oil. Images from the island in the Indian Ocean show volunteers collecting straw from fields and filling sacks to make barriers. Others have been making their own tubes with tights and hair in a bid to aid the cleanup. Their actions go against an order from the government asking people to leave the clean-up to local authorities. "People have realised that they need to take things into their hands. We are here to protect our fauna and flora," environmental activist Ashok Subron told AFP news agency. This Japanese ship, that has already leaked hundreds of tonnes of oil into the ocean off Mauritius, has broken apart. The MV Wakashio ran aground on a coral reef on 25 July with 4,000 tonnes of the fuel, causing an ecological emergency. The ship got into trouble at Pointe d'Esny, a known sanctuary for rare wildlife. The area also contains wetlands designated as a site of international importance for conservation. About 90 tonnes of fuel were believed to still be on board when the vessel split apart. Thunder Strikes Three FRSC Officials To Death In Ogun A mysterious thunder struck on Wednesday at the old toll gate, Ilese in Ijebu North East local government area of the state, killing three officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Gateway Times can authoritatively inform. Reliable reports said the incident occurred around 10am this morning. Gateway Times further finding has it that the thunder struck as the FRSC officials were planning for the early morning parade within the precinct of their office located at the old toll gate. Though, no official statement has been released to the effect, but a senior member of the Corps, who pleaded anonymity as he was not authorised to speak on the lightening incidence, however confirmed the development, as he disclosed further that there were over 10 officials at the exact office, when thunder struck three of their colleagues. Another member of the Corps, close to the scene of the incidence told Gateway Times that traditionalists, otherwise known as Sango worshipers have already taken over the area in a bid to perform some rites on the bodies of the deceased. The explosion in the city's port area has killed at least 100 people and injured more than 4,000 others. President Michel Aoun said 2,750 tonnes of ammonium nitrate had been stored unsafely in a warehouse for six years, and an investigation is under way to find out what triggered the explosion. JUST IN: Nigerian Air Force Names Tolulope Arotile’s Killer The Nigerian Air Force has revealed the identity of the killer of late Flying Officer Tolulope Arotile. NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, Ibikunle Daramola, gave the name of Arotile’s ex-classmate, who drove the vehicle that hit Nigeria’s first female combat helicopter pilot as “Mr Nehemiah Adejoh”. Arotile died from head injuries on Wednesday when she was knocked down by a car driven by Adejoh at the Kaduna NAF base. Giving a report of a preliminary investigation carried out, the NAF spokesperson said the late Arotile met three of her former schoolmates at the Air Force Secondary School now Air Force Comprehensive School, Kaduna, on the day of the incident. Daramola said, “Mr Nehemiah Adejoh, Mr Igbekele Folorunsho and Mr Festus Gbayegun, drove past her in a Kia Sorento SUV, with registration number AZ 478 MKA. It is noteworthy that Messrs Adejoh, Folorunsho and Gbayegun are all civilians who live outside NAF Base Kaduna, but were on their way to visit one Mrs Chioma Ugwu, wife of Squadron Leader Chukwuemeka Ugwu, who lives at Ekagbo Quarters on the Base. “Upon recognising their schoolmate, Arotile, after passing her, Mr Adejoh, who was driving, reversed the vehicle, ostensibly in an attempt to quickly meet up with the deceased, who was walking in the opposite direction. In the process, the vehicle struck Flying Officer Arotile from the rear, knocking her down with significant force and causing her to hit her head on the pavement. The vehicle then ran over parts of her body as it veered off the road beyond the kerb and onto the pavement, causing her further injuries.”

Nigeria’s first female combat helicopter pilot, Tolulope Arotile, who died on July 14, will be buried next Thursday, July 23, the Nigerian Air Force said on Friday. The NAF said Arotile will be laid to rest with “full military honours at the National Military Cemetery in Abuja. The Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, in Abuja received some members of the Federal Executive Council as well as members of the National Assembly who visited him at NAF Headquarters on Thursday to condole with him over the officer’s death. A statement by NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola, titled, Late Flying Officer Arotile to be buried in Abuja with full military honours on July 23, said, “The remains of late Flying Officer Tolulope Arotile, NAF’s first combat helicopter pilot who died on July 14 will be laid to rest with full military honours at the National Military Cemetery in Abuja on July 23. “Meanwhile, a condolence visit to the Arotile Family in Lokoja by a high-powered delegation, composed of the CAS, Honourable Minister of Women Affairs as well as the Chairmen of the Senate and House Committees on Air Force, has been scheduled to hold on a date before the burial.” . . . The Nigerian Air Force on Friday stated that it was investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of its Flying Officer, Tolulope Arotile, in a road accident, adding that two persons were being held. . The NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola, stated these in an interview with our correspondent, saying at the end of the investigation, “whatever information needs to go out will go out.” . The NAF spokesman later in a release on Friday noted that Arotile would be buried Thursday, July 23, at the National Military Cemetery, Abuja, with full military honours. . The NAF noted that it would continue to support female pilots’ training as 11 were currently undergoing training within and outside Nigeria. . The air force said the female officer sustained head injuries from the accident when she was “inadvertently hit by the reversing vehicle of an excited former Air Force secondary school classmate while trying to greet her.” . Arotile, a member of the Nigerian Defence Academy Regular Course 64, hailed from Iffe in the Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi State. . A Yoruba socio-cultural organisation, Afenifere, however, on Thursday raised suspicion over the death of the female officer, rejecting the road accident explanation and calling for a Coroner’s Inquest into her death. . Speaking in an interview with Saturday PUNCH on Friday, NAF spokesman, Daramola, said, “First of all, in my first statement, I said she died from a road traffic accident. Just when I thought it couldn’t get any worse… 2020 is definitely the most fucked up year I’ve ever witnessed! After waking up & barely rising from my own dark contemplation of continuing my physical existence on this planet, this powerful warrior actually had the balls to do it. I’ve said it once and I will say it again, this was the strongest dude I’ve ever met! Just over a year ago a San Diego Police Officer rushed in his home and unjustifiably shot him placing him in a coma for months. I stood by his bedside and promised him that if he made it out & fought the good fight that I would make his dream come true and put his album out and share his story with the world. He fought and fought, he woke up, they stitched him up, he learned to walk and talk again and within months we were back in the studio recording. Even through his strength he would whisper to me that “Everything Still Hurts”. His music was definitely his safe haven and it was amazing. Paying for lawyers, putting money in his pocket, even putting the music together all meant nothing because I feel like I failed my little brother. The Cops will get away with shooting another kid, everyone will just look at this as yet another loving farewell post, but to me @ryanbowersob was so much more than that. Once again my brother you have put this world in perspective for me. You would do that quite often because I never understood how someone who was experiencing sooo much pain could still laugh and smile through it all. This photo was the last time we seen each other in person. It was your first show back! Soldout crowd in our hometown San Diego and you rocked it!! You were so happy!! Proved to so many that you could do it and that you were Super Human! The greatest comeback I ever saw!! We almost made it little bro! But I guess even flying Super Heros have to land eventually. But I am certain that your energy will never die and your Spirit is eternal, so I ask you still to forgive me for letting you down Warrior. What is going on here? How can this lady who loves her life, her son, her Nigerian boyfriend be suicidal ? I know the issue of mental health is very significant in the world especially for these celebrities.

But they (Tamar and David) have been know portray a very positive image of each other and their relationship. How is it that he found her Unresponsive and immediately assumed it is suicide? what kind of conversation was held before he found her there? Could it be that he has some answers to our questions?

If he thinks immediately that it is an attempted suicide after finding her Unresponsive, then they need to ask him various questions because if he broke up or attempted to break up with her before that, then it makes a better sense.

This is because they both have been so loving to each other and all over each other on social media, but if we know anything we know that we are not to believe with what we see on the gram, even with their flaws.

Fans and friends are sending in their love and light but with no clear explanation as to what exactly happened to the young mother to be. The message which reportedly came from her mother according to the content simply announced her death without it’s cause. Hoping it’s not Covid19, since that has been the main problem throughout the year. May her soul and the soul of that bundle of Joy she was carrying, rest in the Lord.

While a stranger will rarely poison your edibles, it is most done by friends. So if you have missed going out so much and eventually find yourself with your circle of friends who will never show their resentment towards you, always be guided with who you leave you edibles with only to come back and continue eating.

Also, don’t let your love for food cloud your reasoning. Try as much as you can to know the source of your food, drinks or gifts, and always try to say “No thank you” as often as you can. God have mercy on us all.

This story brings up alot of questions to be honest. A mother who has been stuck at home with her son for months and can be considered to have survived the Coronavirus, and since it is summer time and lockdown lifted, many have gone for a fresh air, a vacation like Kylie, to the beach, and then boat rides like Naya.

She went ahead to the famous lake Piru to rent a boat with her four year old son to cruise, and clear her head since she had been through all these relationship issues.

Now the boat was rented 1pm and by 4pm the son was found alone on the same boat with his life jacket on but not with his mother. When asked, the four year old boy said his mother went into the water and didn’t come back out again. It wasn’t sure how long ago she was gone leaving the boy alone, was there someone else around there? Has this happened before? did she drown or get abducted?

A search party was launched for the beautiful Actress, and after 24 hours, the Mother hasn’t been found, and not one evidence or theory has been released on her disappearance. Not even her body has been found yet, and it is just a sad sad situation.
