Eid-al-Adha is the festival of sacrifice and obedience to Almighty Allah. As we celebrate this year, in an unusual manner, we are forced to make even more sacrifices for the good of all. It however will not take anything away from how special this Eid is. So, on this joyful day, it is my prayer that Almighty Allah fills your life with happiness, peace and prosperity. May Allah fill your heart with love, your soul with spiritual and your mind with wisdom. Eid Mubarak to you all.

Today, I join millions of people around the world, to wish our Muslim brothers and sisters in Lagos State and in Nigeria happy Eid El-Kabir, which comes with significant lessons for mankind. It is a reminder to us that, there will always be great rewards when we have abiding faith and patience in trying periods; persistence in prayers and tenacity in our belief. It also reminds us of the sacrifice we are expected to make for the purpose of spiritual fulfillment, the progress of mankind & development of our society. On behalf of my family and the Government of Lagos State, I wish all Muslims a happy and peaceful Eid El-Kabir celebration.
