it is however time for the Igbos to heave a sigh of relieve. This airport has been the source of their comfort when it comes to the Igbos making their ways home to the rest of the Igbo states. After its rapid degradation, the Federal government got busy with other things, but the Igbo decided they needed a fix of that airport. I am personally happy for this news, but I hope that it won’t turn to audio money.
As seen on punchnews, President Muhammadu Buhari has approved N10 billion as intervention fund for the upgrade of the Akanu Ibiam International Airport in Enugu State.
Buhari made this known via his verified Twitter handle on Thursday.
He added that the Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika had assured him that work on the airport would be done speedily and that work done would be of a high standard.
