Seems the season issues are not in anyway coming closer to an end. While we are mentioning the real issues being noticed in town, a group of policemen are now under the custody of their higher authority in arrest after the made their way into a nightclub on Friday night around Oshodi in Lagos State to open fire on patrons who were seated and hanging out without arm or threat. That can definitely pass as an execution from where I stand.
According to an eyewitness, the officers had gone to Crest Inn Club on Balogun Street Oshodi, to harass and arrest an innocent boy but people refused to let them take him away because the guy did nothing.
It was gathered that the policemen eventually left but later returned to the bar and started shooting at patrons, leading to the death of one Maliki Mohammed and the injury of at least two others.
The arrested officers are: Inspector Orubu Olusola, Inspector Apalowo Ola, Insp. Kasai Sule, Sgt Momoh Ogwuche and Sgt Adoga Collins, all from Akinpelu Division. The Commissioner of Police has ordered their immediate trial.
