Regardless of all the horrifying headlines and killings of Nigerians in SA and other places. I hope we as a people don’t forget who we are.
Have you ever wondered why the opportunities back home to excel are so limited except you know someone or come from the aristocratic families?
It is basically the lack of investment in our society by the ruling elites. Poor governance and the cancer known as corruption. Yet our people excel in foreign lands and give their best in every sector they find themselves. I hope we begin to hold our leaders accountable.
It is not our duty to fear or worship politicians, folks they work for us. The wealth meant for all of us is what they are embezzling and enriching themselves.
There is know moral justification that a politician earns more than a lecturer, Doctor etc in any given society while the federal minimum wage for federal workers is 35/37 thousand naira. That is practically a 100 USA dollars for a month.
How Nigerians get by each day and survive, beats my imagination.
I have tremendous respect for my fellow Nigerians and I pray that someday, we will come to realize that the status-quo is no longer sustainable.
I salute these amazing students and may fortune smile on them all. Nigerian politicians and the world can never dim our light 💡. Still we Rise 🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬 – #regrann
