“If I die, I die a legend”– Wizkid

Wizkid is presently not in a good state of health if his tweets are anything to dwell upon.

For the singer to cancel his tour, we can only conclude that he is as sick as we feared as he has called on his real fans to put him in our prayers.

Taking to twitter this afternoon, Wizkid announced that he would not be able to go on with his tour as he realises the need to pay attention to his health which is deteriorating.

He however went dramatic when he twitted “If I die, I die a legend” a tweet that would have been understandable if Wizkid was suffering from a terminal illness.

Recall that early this year, Wizkid cancelled his shows on Doctor’s orders, saying he needed to pay attention to his health which so far hasn’t been named.

He also made it known that he would be spending time with his sons and family while he recovers. He urges his true fans to remember him in prayers!
We wish him a quick recovery!

I hope he is not suffering from depression because it is such a weird thing to say. Oya get well soon Daddy yo, please don’t die just yet.

The music most young artistes sing, makes me angry – Ras Kimono .

Veteran Reggae music artiste, Ras Kimono, is not happy with the quality of music churned out by young artistes in the industry today. In a chat with Sunday Scoop, he said: “Music is supposed to be a weapon of social change. .
A musician is supposed to be a prophet who speaks the truth as it affects everybody in the society. But can you tell me what these young artistes are preaching about. They do nothing but sing about butt, boobs and other mundane things that do not add value to anybody.
It is not a bad thing to sing party or dancehall music but there is a problem when 95% of the music out there sound the same and don’t even have any meaning. Most times, I listen to these songs and get angry. .
Look at the musicians of yesteryears, the songs are still relevant today, decades after they were originally released. But if you listen to a song that was released just last year, you may want to throw up. That’s because those songs have very short life-span. .
After people dance to it for some time, they dump it in the trash bin of time and move on to the next song. That is not what music is supposed to be about. People still play Fela’s music today because it still has something to offer.
Reggae music, which I do, dwells on topical issues bothering the society. I really want the younger artistes to have a change of heart and think of the future; it is very important.”

Is Miley Cyrus back to her Hannah Montana self?

no thumb

mileycyrus-1494971935953 Mention the name Miley Cyrus and most people will be like, “that weird girl”.They have refused to let go of the image, I guess for the reason we all know. At about four years ago, the singer and actress became different for reasons people couldn’t comprehend back then. She went from an American sweet heart teenage actress from the Disney series ‘HANNAH MONTANA’ to a bisexual Miley the Wild stripper in a eye twinkle of an eye. She left viewers, fans, parents, and Tour attenders speechless with the drastic change.

When the reason was sort after, it became clear that Miley was lashing out and screaming for a special someone’s attention. She had broken up with her then boyfriend and fiance Liam Hemsworth and it was clear that she didn’t take the breakup well. Reason being because she made sure the world was disturbed by her indirect outcry. The inappropriate displays were mind numbing as she went for tour which brought so much money, keeping her on the cover of every magazine, and being on the screen of everyone’s TV. After dating a girl and others we didn’t know, Miley admitted to being ready to date anyone and anything who is over 18. She was done with the wildlife the moment she was done with her tour,l saying she has made enough money to buy a house and be comfortable. she became a vegan during this period, got obsessed with avocado pear and pet dogs. She then went ahead to launch an NGO called ‘happyhippie‘ which was devoted to saving the LGBT community members who were abandoned by their families and friends. When she went into hibernation to let the world heave a sigh of relieve, which made people wonder what she was up to. She started to make clothing and wears and all kinds of things with happy hippie logo on them. She had lots of Dogs and a pig, and took to yoga for a better health.

Miley went through that phase of her life unstable, smoking too much weed, and doing so many inappropriate things, until she miraculously got back with the love of her life, Actor Liam Hemsworth. Ever since the return, the 24 has gradually converted back to the American sweet heart we all know. She has now announced her intention to quiet smoking weed, and has stayed away from it for 3 weeks. she has started to grow out her natural brunette hair as against the extreme blonde she had keep all through her wild days. she is calm and cool now, with over 66 million followers on Instagram and has just dropped the most adorable single with a calming video called “MALIBU” she show cased her natural side and the simplicity of Country side Miley Cyrus who is in Malibu. She is now back to her real self from all indications.

P.S watch her new song and understand what I mean. She has started her radio shows already and performing on concerts. We won’t be surprised if a tour date surfaces.mileycyrus-1494971829844

Does your innocent child still watch Nigerian Music Video?

images I used the word “innocent” because that’s actually what a child’s mind is, and should be seen that way. There is a reason why they are made to bask in their blissful innocence to a certain age. Even as an adult, I feel some sort of uneasy, in fact I feel completely embarrassed when I am watching a music video even without any child around me. Now, this is not just the Nigerian music videos, every other one. But I am made to understand that the Nigeria music videos seem to be even more inappropriate than the western ones. Reason being that Nigerian musicians are in some kind of unspoken competition on who gets the nudiest (if there is a word like that ), or most inappropriately dressed girls in their music video. They now wear only what covers their vagina and nipples which seem to be the most important to them, and every other thing is not a problem if seen by the public. They don’t even wait until it is a pool scene to get nude and panties on like their colleagues in the west, but the girls wear panties of all sort and all I see in my TV is BUTT, BUTT, and nothing but BIG Butts.

Some parents smile and admire that kid’s reaction to nudity when exposed to Nigerian music videos and I just wonder what your problem is as a parent. Just because you were given the opportunity by God most high to train, teach and nurture a child, doesn’t mean you have to misuse it and misguide a child. These are things that shouldn’t even be told to you in the first place as a parent. These kids should be allowed to enjoy the innocence of their childhood. Don’t poison their minds with your negligence and carelessness towards the level of immorality your baby is exposed to, just because you happen to be a mother in this “FREEDOM” generation.

If you need your kids to be entertained, why not get him/her cartoons and kid’s videos? why does it have to be the same thing you find entertaining that your little child has to find entertaining? They get to try out what they watch on their friends in real life. so, cut the crap and prevent the spread of mind pollution among these beautiful kids.

Anne Hathaway admits ‘not trusting’ female director

Oscar-winning actress Anne Hathaway has admitted to not trusting female directors in the past due to “internalised misogyny”.
In an ABC interview, the star said she didn’t give her all to director Lone Scherfig in 2011 film One Day.
“I really regret not trusting her more easily,” she said.
“And I am to this day scared that the reason I didn’t trust her the way I trust some of the other directors I work with is because she’s a woman.”
Hathaway added: “I’m so scared that I treated her with internalised misogyny. I’m scared that I didn’t give her everything that she needed.”

The actress questioned whether she was “resisting her on some level. It’s something I’ve thought a lot about in terms of when I get scripts to be directed by women”.
Hathaway told the Popcorn with Peter Travers show: “When I get a script, when I see a first film directed by a woman, I have in the past focused on what was wrong with it. And when I see a film… directed by a man, I focus on what’s right with it.
“I can only acknowledge that I’ve done that and I don’t want to do that anymore … I, before I realised this, had actively tried to work with female directors. And I still had this mindset buried in there somewhere.”
‘Never apologised’
But the actress added that she knows how difficult it is for women to get “the reins to anything”.
“That journey is way harder than it should be. It’s not equal,” she said.
“And I wonder if it’s about the thought process like the one I just talked about. About undervaluing what it takes to make your first film.”
Hathaway said she would call Scherfig after the interview to apologise.
“I’ve never apologised to her about it,” she said.
“It wasn’t an issue of professionalism. I hold her in such a dear place in my heart and I think she does for me, too.”
A representative for Scherfig told ABC News: “Lone Scherfig is deep in pre-production of her next film and is consumed by it. She asked me to express her love and admiration for Anne and her work.”
Hathaway has long been an advocate for women’s rights and is a women’s goodwill ambassador for the United Nations (UN).
She made a speech on International Women’s Day last month at the UN calling on companies and countries around the world to offer paid parental leave.
